The Urban Trail
1.7-mile walk through downtown Asheville has about 30 stations with markers of historical or architectural interest. Self-guided or tour guide. Maps available at the Asheville Visitors Center. Pets must be leashed.

The French Broad River Park (Dog Park)
One of Asheville's most beautiful parks, meanders along the French Broad River. The DOg Park features a large fenced-in area made for exercising and socializing your pet. Located at Amboy Rd. and Riverview Dr. in west Asheville.

Azalea Park (Dog Park)
Located on Azalea Rd. along the Swannanoa River in east Asheville, this 155-acre park is currently being developed as one of Asheville's top parks. The fenced dog park was just completed in summer 2007, and has separate areas for large and small dogs.

The Biltmore Estate
The grounds of the Estate welcome your pets. They must be leashed at all times. Pets are not allowed inside buildings. If not a season passholder, a day charge is assessed.

Blue Ridge Parkway
Pets must be under physical restraint at all times on the Parkway. Leash may not be longer than 6 feet. Pet owners are responsible for waste cleanup.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Dogs are allowed in campgrounds, picnic areas, and along roads, but must be kept on a leash at all times. Leash must not exceed 6 feet. Dogs are allowd only on Gatlinburg Trail and Oconaluftee Trail.
